3-Month-Old Baby Photos: From Tractor Fun to Rubber Ducks

Three months is such a fun age to photograph. Babies are beginning to smile, make eye contact, and show off their little personalities. They are still tiny enough for those sweet baby portraits, but old enough to reward us with adorable expressions and happy smiles.

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing sweet little Ben and his wonderful family. We began the session indoors with some studio-style portraits.

One of my favorite setups featured Ben sitting in a rustic brown bucket in front of my red barn backdrop. To make the portrait even more personal, we included Ben’s own red tractor toy. The country-inspired setup was absolutely perfect and created images that are both adorable and meaningful to his family.

We also captured a timeless black-and-white portrait that perfectly showcased Ben’s bright smile and growing personality. Black-and-white images have a way of highlighting the emotion and expression in a photograph, creating artwork that never goes out of style.

Watching babies grow is one of the greatest joys of family photography. One day they are tiny newborns, and before you know it, they are sitting up, crawling, and taking their first steps. Capturing these moments helps families preserve memories they can look back on for years to come.

After our indoor portraits, we headed outside for family photos at their home. The beautiful surroundings provided the perfect setting for relaxed, natural portraits of Ben with his family. I always love incorporating meaningful locations into a session because they help tell a family’s unique story and preserve memories of this season of life.

To finish the session, we headed back inside for more fun photos. Ben enjoyed some time in my vintage metal bathtub surrounded by rubber ducks. The bright blue background really made his blue eyes pop.

Thank you to Ben and his family for allowing me to photograph this special milestone. It was a joy capturing his sweet smiles, bright blue eyes, and the love shared by his family.
