Hello Fall! A Fun Paint Party at the Warrenton Elks Lodge

Thank you so much to everyone who came to the Hello Fall Paint Party yesterday at the Warrenton Elks Lodge. We had a great group and a fun evening of painting and games.

We painted a fall canvas featuring pumpkins, sunflowers, fall leaves and a “Hello Fall” sign. Some people started with pre-traced canvases while others chose to be more creative and painted their designs completely from scratch. It was fun to see everyone’s different ideas and finished paintings.

FUN AND GAMES

We also played several games during the paint party.

First, we played Pass the Pumpkin. The winner took home a pumpkin grown in my parents’ garden.

We also played Guess the Number of Dots using M&M candies. The winner took home the jar of M&Ms.

The game was perfect for the occasion because yesterday was International Dot Day.

CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL DOT DAY

We also celebrated Dot Day in Art Class at school this week. My students played the same Guess the Number of Dots game with M&M’s.

Dot Day was inspired by the children’s book The Dot. The story is about a child who learns to be creative by painting dots. It encourages children to explore their creativity and discover that they can be artists.
