Flower Fields

  Thanks Susan for the recommendation to visit the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch in Carlsbad, California.  The flower fields are breathtaking.  It’s really cool how they have the flowers planted in rows of color with stripes of red, orange, white, yellow and pink.  

I took lots of macro photos of the colorful flowers with my new Sony macro lens.   After my vacation,  I added a cool watercolor effect to some of the flower photos to make the photos even more interesting.

Carlsbad Ranch even had fresh strawberry lemonade which was perfect on a sunny California day.  

    There were lots of workers in the fields hand picking the beautiful flowers.  They have a beautiful spot set up for weddings and events.   Everything at the flower fields is very beautiful and well maintained.  

     I’m so lucky that we happened to be visiting during their peak blooming season in March and it wasn’t raining on the day that we choose to visit the Flower Fields.  We had watched the weather forecast and was able to switch the Flower Fields visit to a sunny day and visit museums on the day it rained in San Diego during our trip.
