High School Senior Pictures in Troy, Missouri
Senior year is such an exciting milestone, and senior photos are a wonderful way to celebrate this special time in life. I recently photographing a senior from Troy Buchanan High School in Troy, Missouri, for a senior portrait session where we combined classic studio portraits with a variety of beautiful outdoor locations around my photography studio.
If you are a high school senior or parent looking for senior pictures in Troy, Missouri, or the surrounding St. Louis area, A Style Photography offers a unique combination of studio portraits and beautiful outdoor scenery, all in one location.
Classic Studio Senior Portraits
We started the session with traditional studio portraits using both black and white backgrounds. These timeless looks are perfect for creating elegant, polished senior portraits that will look beautiful for years to come.
Classic studio portraits are a great way to capture a senior’s personality while keeping the focus on their expressions, style, and individuality.
Exploring the Beautiful Outdoor Locations
One of the best things about having my photography studio in Troy, Missouri, is all the beautiful scenery surrounding the property. We took tons of photos outdoors, making the most of the variety of backdrops and hidden spots around the studio.
Here are just a few of the locations we used during this senior session.
The Bridge by the Lake
The bridge overlooking the lake offers a beautiful setting for senior portraits. With the water and natural scenery in the background, it creates a relaxed, scenic look.
The Gazebo
The gazebo is another lovely spot for portraits. It adds a little architectural interest while still keeping the natural surroundings in the picture.
The Giant Chair Hidden in the Woods
One of the more unique spots on the property is a giant chair tucked away in the woods. It makes a fun and unexpected setting for senior photos and adds a little personality to the session.
The Large Red Canna Flowers
The vibrant red canna flowers provided a gorgeous pop of color. Their large tropical-looking leaves and dramatic blooms created a beautiful contrast with the natural greenery.
The Wildflower Brick Path
The brick path surrounded by wildflowers offers a charming, natural setting. It is perfect for relaxed portraits with a little bit of color and texture.
The Barn
The barn gives senior portraits a rustic, country feel. Its weathered textures and classic character make a wonderful contrast to the more formal studio portraits.
The Giant White Sycamore Tree
One of my favorite features on the property is the enormous white sycamore tree. Its distinctive bark and impressive size make it a beautiful natural backdrop for senior portraits.

Spoilt for choice ☺️ you have such a great eye for everything that would make a great picture and there by some beautiful memories
What a beautiful variety of settings! I especially love the barn and the wildflowers. Having so many different backdrops in one location must make the experience easier for families, too. Senior photos are such a wonderful keepsake, and it’s nice to see how much personality you can capture in one session.
I love the setting for photos but they work especially well for a High School Senior photo shoot.
What a wonderful variety of backdrops in one location! The giant chair in the woods lookss especially fun, and the sycamore tree makes for some beautiful portraits, too.
A giant chair hidden in the woods is not something I expected to find on a studio property, Amanda, and I can only imagine the reactions when they see that for the first time! Having the lake and the barn steps away from the studio must make things so much easier for families who don’t want to drive all over town for one session.
Thanks!
