A Day in the Life of Brogan and His Devoted Humans

Meet Brogan: Brogan, the energetic and spirited canine member of the family, is the heart and soul of every adventure. With his boundless energy and contagious enthusiasm, he fills each day with excitement and joy.

Here is Brogan’s Adoption story:

After almost a year after losing our sweet boy, Buddy at 15 we decided we were ready to start looking for a puppy. We knew we wanted to rescue or adopt a puppy who needed a home. One Friday, I was scrolling through Facebook, and I saw the cutest black and white little puppy with the sweetest face staring back at me. I immediately sent the pictures to my husband with lots of heart emojis. Then I went on with my day as usual. When Stan got home from work one of the first things out of his mouth were, ” I think we should try for that dog you sent me today!” Say what!? It took me seconds to pull up the rescue site and apply for that sweet face! We assumed it was a small chance we would actually be so lucky, because look at him! He is adorable! But to our surprise and delight the next morning we got a text asking when would be a good time to come see him? Ummm! Now? Right now! So we headed out to the Foster’s house to what we thought was just a meeting. We pulled up her driveway and there he was looking out the door to greet us! Love at first sight! After 5 minutes, we were told we could take him home that day! What!? 5 seconds later we agreed! And then he was ours! That quick! We rescued this sweet, loving, smart, silly puppy of ours named Brogan from Lucky Chance Rescue. Brogan was his given name by the rescue, and we really liked it and it fits him nicely. We woke up that Saturday morning not even knowing we were going to be dog owners again that day. We didn’t have anything ready, but had some things we kept of Buddy’s and we made a family trip that evening for all the needed supplies.

We are still amazed at what a calm chill puppy he is and how quick he was potty trained and listens. He loves walks, playing outside, finding sticks, chewing and more chewing. He is a bit shy at first, but then is very friendly. He is a mama’s boy to the core. Where his mama goes, he goes. He loves going to the park and greeting other dogs. He loves cuddling with his dad at night. He is just the sweetest and he totally has our hearts! He was born early in September of 2023 and was sadly found with his siblings running around in a wooded area skin and bones and they all had worms. The mother not to be found. To think that anyone could just drop these puppies is mind-blowing. His life maybe have not started off the best, but it now filled with so much love! He has so many traits our sweet Buddy had. We truly believe Buddy had something to do with finding him. We have in our house what we call a Buddy shrine. We often tell Brogan that is his brother! He is not just a pet, but a part of our little crazy family.

Running Free: One of Brogan’s favorite pastimes is running free in the open fields, where he can let loose and indulge in his love for doing zoomies. With the wind in his fur and the sun on his back, Brogan races across the grassy expanse with pure, unbridled joy, his humans cheering him on every step of the way. Through the lens of the camera, I capture the exhilarating freedom of these moments, as Brogan’s infectious enthusiasm fills the air.

Bonding Moments: But it’s not just the adventures in the great outdoors that define Brogan’s days – it’s also the quiet moments of connection and companionship with his beloved humans. Whether snuggled up on the couch for a cozy movie night or enjoying a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood, Brogan’s unwavering loyalty and affectionate nature shine through in every interaction.
